I have to submit to your Lordships' consideration the following cases of persons tried and convicted before me at the Bath City Sessions during the last week.
1. Thomas Burgess, aged 19, convicted of theft, having been previously a suspected person, and having behaved ill in gaol. I passed upon him a sentence of transportation for seven years, with the intention of requesting a commutation of his punishment to imprisonment in the Penitentiary for 8 months.
2. George Williams, aged 21, convicted of theft, after a previous conviction for felony, but such conviction not having been formally proved in (cont.) . . .
