British Library Learning launches 'Sacred texts', an interactive RE resource.

British Library Learning has launched an interactive RE resource to accompany the major exhibition 'Sacred: Discover what we share' which itself launched at the British Library on April 27th 2007. The exhibition is the first in the UK to display exquisite and rare books from the the Abrahamic faiths side by side.
The resource encompasses two separate interactive learning tools. Sacred Stories allows learners to explore stories from six different religions, animated using images from the British Library's beautiful and extensive collection. Understanding Sacred Texts investigates the Abrahamic scriptures by posing a range of questions to a panel of 'experts': faith leaders, educators, young people, theologians and an atheist philosopher.
This interactive will reveal to learners that the meanings within religious texts are complex, multifaceted and endlessly fascinating.
